Creating a Community of Learners

Through social interactions and hands-on activities, children will acquire skills naturally. In addition to this, they will be exercising their observation and problem-solving skills as they learn to apply newly acquired language skills in different situations.

Our Story

Bear Hunt Okotoks.HEIC

Marcela Saenz | Founder and Director.

I am Marcela Saenz, this is my story: Colombian dentist, married with three beautiful children: Andres, Mia and Ivy.
I decided to start my journey in Early Childhood Education in 2015 by being the owner of Dias Mágicos Day home.

My academic preparation began here, where I graduated with honors in early childhood education and fell in love with children's learning processes.

Additionally, I completed several child psychology certifications so that I could devote myself to the little ones.

"I believe all children deserve quality education, with attention to small details, and we should encourage that our children feel safe and loved. That is why I chose to dedicate myself to early education, because I believe it is the foundation for success in life."

Our Philosophy

Our Mission is to provide all children with a safe and secure learning environment where they can freely explore and express themselves. Our goal is to ensure that our children have enriching learning and appropriate care that are vital to their growth and development.

Playing in Nursery

At Magic Days Learning Centre, we understand that children learn in different ways and at different paces. Prepared environments are ideal classrooms since curiosity, stability and freedom of choice encourage a love of learning.

Early education serves as a stepping stone to a successful life.

This guides our holistic approach to children's learning and well-being.

The development of these five skills are the heart of our philosophy: Artistic, Cognitive, Communicative, Corporal, Personal-Social.

The game as a learning constructor

Curriculum

Artistic

Art is the capacity of human beings to create, express, appreciate, and be sensitive through multiple languages that allow us to learn, transform, represent, and interpret the environment and the culture in which it is already reflected.

Areas of Development: Communication, creativity and corporeality.

Goal: Potentiate in children from 19 months to 5 years old the ability to wonder about what surrounds them, as well as enrich their experiences to establish calm affective relationships with themselves, with others and with the environment making use of the various expressive languages.

Objective: Enable experiences that develop the expressive, creative, aesthetic, perceptive, sensitive and socio-emotional

Painting

Cognitive

Cognitive development allows us to understand the processes and elements that intervene in the structuring of thought and the ways through which human beings build knowledge. In cognitive development, a first key aspect has to do with four basic mental functions: perception, attention, representation of mental models and memory.

Story Telling

Teacher reading to toddlers Children understand their world through narrative and play, which means that Story Time may be a child’s most powerful learning experience. Story Time is such a powerful tool because it builds language learning and literacy abilities, alongside cognitive and social-emotional development.

To promote Story Time, our Daycare will get a selection of books that are curated to fit the specific needs of each age group.

Along with the books, there will be classroom activities specifically to go with each book. These activities illustrate how to read each book in a manner that develops language and literacy skills, plus activities that engage different developmental domains.
